Living close to the proposed area I feel it will greatly dampen the attraction to the area and the reason we all bought here - beautiful green countryside views for miles, fresh healthy air, peaceful unspoiled walks. These aspects all help with our mental health - the be engrossed in natural and away from any 'feels' of hustle and bustle is what helps many of us. This project will take that away from thousands of people! Not just once it's built but the building of it - the traffic, vehicles, people and materials that will all be in the area on high volumes for a long period. I find it hard to understand why the countryside is being used rather than roofs we already have. Why not propose to homes and businesses to use their roofs instead. Save the countryside and fields and use what is already in its place. I am all for solar and wind power and I really do feel we need to action alternatives, I do much to 'do my bit' when it comes to climate change but even with that view point already I think Mallard Pass is just too extreme and there are other ways if we were clever about it - ie using the roofs of homes and businesses. I am also an estate agent and have recently sold a couple of properties in close proximity of which many buyers were put off due to this. It therefore is not only having a visual impact on people locally but a financial impact too.
