To erect solar panels around residential areas, on fertile ground and in such massive dimensions is totally irresponsible. We need energy but not at the expense of food production or green spaces for mental health and recreation. These panels will be seen for miles, completely destroy the aesthetics of the area, interfere negatively with wildlife, destroy the wellbeing of the people who live there not to mention the lowering of the value of property not just there but for miles around. Solar panels belong on the roofs of houses, factories, office buildings or brown sites not around residential areas and farm or wood land. No one wants to walk under or near grey panels. There is no benefit for local people from these panels either as all the electricity created goes to the national grit, all the material used will be imported - producing negative carbon footprint on top. Mallard Pass should not be given planning permission in any shape or form.
