Why is the location for such a large scale project being proposed for a rural and agricultural area in the smallest county in the UK? My review on line showed that Mallard Pass would become by far the largest such project ever undertaken by this Canadian Group anywhere in the world, so how do we know it has the expertise to manage and successfully complete this large task? Previous projects anywhere in the world have been in deserts, on large industrial factory roofs, or rocky areas which are probably waste ground (e.g.Malta). The whole project gives me the impression that our previous prime minister saw an opportunity to show how his policy for achieving "carbon neutral" for the UK would be given a boost. At the same time his political kudos would also benefit, so therefore the inhabitants of Rutland, Leicestershire, and all the surrounding areas can suffer.
