This is a rural area and the industry is mainly local and low key. Putting an enormous new industrial unit over a wide area will completely change the character of the surrounding towns and villages. This is good farm land. The past three years should have told us how important our food security is, and land should not be taken out of use for something that could be sited elsewhere. A Canadian company? How do we know who will end up owning and running this if it goes ahead? Solar power is needed, but the sites need to be chosen with more care. On industrial buildings, over car parks, on land that is very marginal. There seems to be no local reason for agreeing to this. But we will all have to put up with extra traffic on inadequate roads, pot holes, noise, pollution.
