I accept the need to decarbonise and source renewable energy, but replacing rich agricultural land and the communities that lay within it, fixes one problem and replaces it others. Mallard Pass is not a solution. Disposing of rich agricultural land is wreckless. During lockdown, it was made very clear how fragile our food supply chain is and it is stupid to once again become complacent about this so soon after. Finding a solution to one problem (energy), by depriving our lands of food is not creating an environment for sustainability. There are more suitable areas of land in Great Britain that are better sacrificed
