Dear Sir, I write to briefly outline my objections to the proposed Mallard Pass Solar Farm. 1. The proposed site will engulf our property starting at the beginning of our adopted road - The Drift off the B1176 . It will proceed near our north boundary effecting many aspects of our environment. Our lives will be effected visually and materially thus degrading our quality of life. As pointed our previously, the planners had not been out to our property before the first consultation and this confirms that there was little planning and thought considered about the effect the proposal would have on [Redacted]. If the proposed solar farm goes ahead our immediate environment will change entirely. 2. My other great worry is the proposed route for the endless traffic and lorries that will be required to build the solar park. The route will pass directly by the Casterton College. At the beginning of the day and when school ends, excited children are like ants crossing the road at will and with virtually no self regard for the oncoming traffic- I fear a tragedy in the making. 3. My other objections include : scale and size of the enormous proposal which from a community point of view will totally change our rural environment and economy. The misleading consultations summary including the compulsory acquisitions now required is disingenuous and untrustworthy. Also the huge loss of agricultural land which creates much needed employment and food would be a travesty. Please confirm your receipt of this email and my registration as a ‘interested party’ in the Mallard Pass Solar Project examination. Many thanks,
