I am writing to strongly object to the plans to a erect the solar energy panels at the above site. I have attended the consultation in Stamford Townhall on Wednesday 29th of June. There are many, many reasons why this should not be developed. I am listing below the main topics: Site size. Safety risk of battery storage. The visual & landscape impact on the country side snd WILD LIFE. Loss of agriculture land to grow crops & graze cattle. Bio-diversity and loss of habitat. Traffic and transport dust pollution, noise, damage to lanes and hedgerows, danger to school children and the public (particularly on the Ryall/Casterton Roads.) Loss of Public Right of Way on walks. Construction of solar panel mounting and the constant noise pollution during and after work is finished. Size of panels. Flooding risks particularly at Greatham. Danger of destroying archeology remains which we know date back to prehistoric times & many Roman remains are in the area. Using Uyghur slave labour in the supply chain for the development of the panels. I am certainly not opposed to solar energy, but the panels should be placed on the roofs of factories & an integral part of new housing plans. This site is estimated to be in place for 40years; by that time, know doubt, this type of energy source will be surpassed by another. A"great" gift for the next generations..... NOT ! What happens to the panels at the end when they cannot be recycled? Please give great thought to this campaign. It will leave a wave of misery and destruction for the residents, environment and the wild life. I strongly oppose this project.
