The proposed solar farm is too close to housing and busy roads. It could be moved further away from these. There will be two years of noise, light pollution, disruption and damage for all those living in the surrounding area.there will be hundreds of workers and their vehicles, public rights of way will be closed. The shear size of the solar farm will mean you cannot eradicate or screen all the adverse impacts. There are no benefits for the immediate community. The local landscape will be forever changed by the over 500,000 solar panels. The new substation will be visible and audible to all in Essendine. The loss of quality agricultural land is unforgivable. There are already flooding issues in Essendine and these have been completely disregarded by Mallard Pass. There is a worry about potential compulsory acquisition rights. It’s time to stop this, have we learned nothing from HS2?
