Mallard Pass Solar Farm, is vast. A large percentage of it is to be built on high grade agricultural land and it will have a detrimental effect on all forms of wild life and the natural environment. The construction will significantly increase traffic in the area, on local country roads not able to cope with the increase in present day traffic that it already carries. People in the area have nothing to gain from this intrusion into their daily lives and a great deal to loose. I am not convinced that solar power is the panacea it was thought to become but WHY use up valuable agricultural land when there are acres of roofs and non productive land to use instead? I have lived in this area for much of my life and reluctantly, accept that there has to be change and modernisation, but I struggled to find any positive advantages in this whole project.
