The problem with this project is that it is far too big for a rural village location and solar farms should not be placed on good farm land that is needed to feed our growing nation. The government should be helping people to have solar panels added to the roofs on their homes so all can benefit especially with the cost of living and energy crisis we have. Also this company proposing this project is just in it for a quick buck they are trying to set up several other projects around the country - the government should take ownership of where solar farms are placed and brown field sites should be the first places to be considered. This project is far too large and will swallow up our village of Essendine as it would be surrounded by this solar farm which with the installation and decommissioning will cause much more pollution from all the lorries that will be delivering the equipment , more noise and more light pollution. The batteries are a hazard and shouldn’t be anywhere near to houses . The surrounding rural landscape will be ruined by a sea of solar panels the local wildlife will be disrupted and many of the natural thoroughfares for them will be taken away .
