I am concerned about the use of agricultural land when there are numerous alternatives eg roof slopes of large industrial buildings. The prospect of compulsory acquisitions in Essendine is not acceptable and could ruin the village and cause unnecessary stress for inhabitants some of whom have lived there all their lives. The use of Chinese materials in the project raises concerns about the use of forced labour and the access which the Chinese government will have to our infrastructure. The increase in traffic during construction on A6121, an already busy and dangerous road, is frightening. There have been two accidents close to our property in a month.
