I think that this project is at detriment to the local area with no benefit being passed on to the surrounding community in recompense for the disruption that it is causing and negative impact it will have on their daily lives. There will be significant disruption during the construction process with noise, traffic and pollution. There will be loss of public right of way. There will be a loss of good quality agricultural land. There is no plan for decommissioning and the area risks being left with a ‘solar farm graveyard’. Solar is in practice not as efficient in the UK as many people claim it to be. I believe that there are more efficient ways that sustainable energy can be sourced without the losses and negative impacts that this project also carries.
