The proposed plan of Mallard Pass solar farm is the most SHOCKING and DEVASTATING news to me and all the people who live here, that this could happen to this beautiful British countryside. Rich in farmland that goes back thousands of years, endless wildlife, flora and fauna. One of the biggest sites in the smallest county, this had been in the planning for years and yet the local people have had just a short time to contest, totally unfair. The nearest town Stamford has just been voted one of the best places to live, high in tourism. There are huge concerns of the disruption this will cause during the construction work involved, two years of constant trucks ,the heavy traffic passing two local schools , country roads where some children cycle to school. These are busy roads already, this will have an impact on so many lives, which some local people will not realise until it happens. Which would be too late. We will be letting our future generations down if this goes ahead, The farmers who gain money for this are not farmers who love the land, they are just interested in getting easy money. I feel that they are custodians/ caretakers of the land ready for when the next generation take over to enjoy farming the land. Mallard Pass have chosen an area not highly populated so there would not be enough people to contest this action. I am not against solar panels but feel there is more appropriate places on in this country where it can be used without picking this beautiful place. I am also concerned if there is a health risk to the locals regarding the panels on such a large scale and has this been looked into? This is only a few of my concerns the list is endless .
