Loss of agricultural land for food production Huge change to local environment. Huge disruption and traffic near school in Great Carterton Compulsory purchases of homes in Essendine Low output of energy generated by panels. Last year only 5% of the UKs energy came from solar despite billions of pounds of investment and countless acres being committed to a ‘solar future’. Super sizes panels that create noise and scare local wildlife Dubious Chinese company supplying panels - with questionable ethics and financial transparency. Alleged links to Uyghur forced labour by the primary developer Canadian Solar, who have had shipments seized by the US Government. I am also concerned by Canadian Solar’s links in their supply chains and through their board members to the companies GCL-New Energy Material Technology Co. Ltd and Daqo New Energy Corp, both of which have been sanctioned by the United States Commerce Department.
