I am sure there is nothing that I can put here that no one else has said already. However for so many reasons the idea of a solar farm so colossal in this area of the country is totally outrageous and should not be entertained in the slightest. Not only will this solar farm drastically alter the habitat for the wildlife in this area, it will have such an impact on the agricultural well being and any solar panel placed in the arable farming land will be negated by the loss of fertile land from which the UK will benefit. A more worthwhile exercise would be to encourage residents to place the panels on their houses or outbuildings or industrial units in order to assist towards more effective energy gain. In addition, the placing of solar panels in this particular area will only add to the existing problem of rising flood plains in the surrounding areas. THERE IS NOT ONE SINGLE REASON TO PUT THE SOLAR PANELS IN THIS AREA THAT IS NOT WEIGHED UP BY A REASON NOT TO! It has been proven that solar panels are not the best source of renewable energy, so it totally baffles me why it is in any way acceptable to lose farming land, eradicate the habitat of wildlife, risk more local flooding and totally ruin an area of the countryside for the sake of it.
