The solar panels surrounding Essendine will impact the village as it covers a very large area and visual implications are unprecedented. The area is susceptible to flooding and increases the risk. Farming land will be under-utilised. The large battery storage will be hazardous to residents living in the surrounding villages. There is the issue of overdevelopment to the extent of over 2000 acres. Light pollution at night and wildlife especially deers would be adversely affected. The recent government policy was not to endorse/develop such large solar projects which takes up good farming land which the country needs and also ruin the beautiful countryside.
