I am entirely against this project on many grounds. Aside from the environmental impact, there will be a massive degradation of the quality of life of those of us having to live through not only an indeterminate period of construction, but also beyond as we will have lost the amazing views of our countryside through this blatant industrialisation. I understand from the government's own figures that this "solar farm" will be massively inefficient, producing only around 11% of the power that is being claimed. The loss of agricultural land is significant, given our need to become more self-sufficient and the damage to wildlife - at a time when we are trying so desperately to protect it - will be massive. I have many more concerns however I will raise these as the examination progresses.
