Our main objections to the project are *The Total Size of the site (it will surround and overwhelm the village) *Compulsory Acquisition (no mention of this was made in original information, this could lead to damage to land and property, lack of access during construction) *Significant disruption during construction over two years (increased heavy traffic will create access problems to the village and for individual properties, more noise, dust, dirt and a large number contractors and their vehicles) *Loss of local walks (PRoWs likely to be closed during construction, and will become pathways with high fences and what were country views replaced by solar panels) *Stress and Strain of the above concerns will add to our mental health deterioration from being in the centre of the construction site. *New Substation an eyesore. (this will be visible and audible from most of the village.) *Huge emotional and financial costs to villagers with no direct benefits to the community.
