The main issues from my perspective are as follows: 1. The impact on value of our homes. The planned development is enormous. The village of Essendine will be swallowed by it. The villagers will take the majority of the burden associated with the disruption during contruction etc. The landscape surrounding the village will be devasted by the development for decades to come. Homes in the area simply won't have the same value going forward located in the centre of a sea of solar panels. It is irrelevant to refer to other developments as precedent for lack on impact on value - this development is the largest of its kind and therefore without comparable precedent. Those running this project have shown no sympathy or understanding for that issue - appropriate compensation must surely be offered if the project is to proceed. 2. The ash tree at the front of [Redacted] currently protected by a Tree Preservation Order will need to be felled as the resulting damage to its roots from digging along the A6121 for cabling to avoid escalating risk of damage to my property and persons living there.
