Whilst I am in favour of renewable energy, I have grave concerns about the size of this project and the use of prime agricultural land for this purpose. I feel there are better ways to generate power, eg offshore wind farms, which are less impactful to the environment. Feeding Britain is as important as energy production. I am also concerned about the company managing this project. Such projects need to go to British companies. I don’t believe foreign businesses should be benefiting from such key infrastructure projects Our country needs to become more self-dependent and that should mean truly self-sustaining in such key matters as energy supply and food production, but with businesses who pay their taxes here.
