This will be hugely detrimental to the village of Essendine and surrounding villages. Why in a populated area? The sourcing and manufacture of the panels themselves is questionable as is the longevity and recycling capability. Then there’s the pollution to undertake installation, the damage to local flora and fauna and the noise from the panels themselves. Then there’s the risk, if these things catch fire they just burn, toxic chemicals into the environment, this is a real risk and endangers residents and wildlife. The loss of farmland that produces food, where will that food now be produced? Ultimately this is not about renewable energy, it’s about making lots of money. There is no benefit to local residents, I believe the health, safety and ethical risks are too great to progress this project.
