1/ A short time ago there was a scandal when it was found that [REDACTED] were supplying parts to the national telephone system which could be used for spying on this country and is still costing thousands to replace the parts. How can we be sure the same thing is not hapening here, or is it that it just hasn't been found yet? This could cause havoc with our national electricity supply like a "Trojan Horse'. 2/ The disruption to the local community would be catastrophic in this rural setting going on for 2 years or likely more, on small local roads wide enough for one car only, where to pass, one car has to pull off the road onto the grass, Can you imagine the state of the roads if you introduce 40 Ton lorries to this. The holes at the side of the roads now are deep enough to take your wheel off. If it was imagined that Mallard pass would improve and widen the roads this is not what we want. We moved here to this part because of it's quiet nature. we don't want to live on small islands between large main roads which we would be left with long after the construction of this project which apparently could run for decades. 3/ The loss of good food producing land is something we should beware of as conflinks in other parts of the world are proving at this very moment.
