The whole of the village of Essendine will be surrounded by solar panels, both ruining the area for those living there and turning it into an industrial zone. The plans themselves cover over 2,000 acres which is out of proportion and will result in an over-developed area. The visual (both during the day and with lights at night) and noise impact of this will be huge. The location is susceptiable to flooding, with this increasing the risk as well as the battery storage causing a hazard to local residents. Land wise, farming land will be lost and the wildlife disrupted. There has also been recent government policy around not going ahead with large solar projects which ruin the countryside, of which this would apply.
