I am a local resident and I would like to object to this proposal. The scale of the proposal is inappropriate for the location proposed. We are a small rural community surrounded by high quality farming land, close to the uks first conservation town, Stamford. Stamford is a historic town and a huge solar farm in the surrounding villages will cause a significant detriment to the area. The proposed area is currently utilised as high quality farming land with significant biodiversity and wildlife. I personally regularly walk around this area and see a huge range of birds, deer and other wildlife which would be negatively affected by the proposal. I support renewable energy production but I would much prefer to see a proposal like this put on a brownfield site, rather than farmland. We have plenty of unused brownfield sites in the uk and I feel and additional effort to site proposals in such sites would be worth it to protect our environment.
