This project will be a huge impact on the local environment, villagers, general public, wildlife, biodiversity and habitats. There will be (yet another) loss of food producing land and agriculture, as is happening in many parts of Great Britain. Part of the land is a flood risk and low lying. There will be a visual impact on the rural landscape and will cause mental and the well being of residents and visitors and others who use the bridleways and public footpaths, which will be lost, shortened and/or re-directed and never be re-installed. There will be a big impact on the local roads with regards to the construction traffic, which I understand could take up to 2 years. There is no direct route from the main roads to the site and therefore the country road will have to be used, which in some cases are single track roads, which will impact on local traffic, cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians. One proposed route goes through a village with a primary school and senior school, which will impact on the safety of school children. Apparently there will be up to 400 workers a day on site, 7am to 7pm 6 days a week - which is unsustainable in such a small area. The project will be not benefit local people as any power producedwill go to the national grid for others to use. The developers background and lefgth of time in business is sketchy to say the least. They are just in it for the money, proven by the fact that one of the partner companies has already confirmed they will be selling heir share on if the application is successful, proving they are not concerned about climate change or the environmnent but their shareholders money making. There is complete uncertainly for future generations as the application has not time limit. The land will never be the same again, it will be contaminated and unable to be used for food production. The Inspectorate should take all these matters with deep concern. I sincerely hope that he/she/they will visit the sites in person and visualise the impact this wil have on the countryside, country roads in a small rural village.
