I write as a technical advisor to some of the local residents who are opposed to this project. There are at least 5 issues that should rule out the approval of this project: 1) Solar energy is very inefficient and inappropriate in the UK except on rooftops. see [Redacted] and furthermore all of the equipment will be imported. 2) There are well known "heat island" effects that will alter the local microclimate and make it up to 5 degrees warmer in the vicinity. see DOI:110.1038/srep35070 3) The soil under PV arrays is altered in an adverse way see DOI:10.3389/fenvs.2020.00140 4) The Biodiversity is also adversely affected see DOI:10.1186/s13750-022-00291-x 5) there are potentially serious risks from fires in the large scale battery storage systems and these have not been fully recognised or regulated see [Redacted] and many others
