The installation of Mallard pass will destroy the aesthetic and surrounding local economy in a multitude of ways. Not only will acres of farmland become useless, habitats of animals will be permanently destroyed. The huge mass of land will become almost completely infertile affecting the surrounding countryside for miles and miles. My family have lived here for many years and this is an area of natural beauty. Our ability to use this surrounding land as walking grounds will be utterly diminished. All of the family homes in the surrounding area will decrease significantly in value at a time when our only investments are our homes which we have worked extremely hard to earn. With soaring tax, energy costs, bills and increasing mortgage rates this will contribute to yet more financial trouble for everyone in the multitude of surrounding communities that have already been hit too hard by the pandemic in a global crisis that is likely only to worsen Stamford and all local areas are being completely ruined by many excessive developments, this will be the last nail in the coffin. Please, please find another space for these panels or consider the use of the investment in another area, you will be permanently severely damaging the quality of life and even mental health of a huge mass of families. The local NHS will not be able to absorb the impact of this and already treat mental health as a joke and Lakeside healthcare which serves the local community is one of the lowest rated health providers in the country which is desperately lacking investment. A huge mass of animal and endangered uk wildlife habitats will be completely destroyed, including bats, breeding birds, barn owls, newts, reptiles including snakes and lizards. Eco systems will be destroyed and this will have a severely negative and lasting impact on the local area. Our planet cannot survive more of this. Our local area should not be forced to suffer this gigantic 4 mile long, london bus high monstrosity while others have no solar panels in sight. How is this fair or just on our community? How would your community feel if it were installed in yours? Huge impacts will be felt by local businesses, and this eyesore will dominate an area which has been voted one of the nicest to live in the United Kingdom. I’m sure people would prefer to have these installed in their rooves than sprawled across these green pastures. Or even a reduction of energy use would be better than this. Why don’t we have one day a year without energy across the uk, or even one day a month? This alone would save more energy than all of these damaging efforts combined. There are other ways to solve this energy crisis. You will continue to need more energy and more solar panels until the whole countryside will be destroyed. There must be another way. Even a reduction in size would be much much better, could we not put smaller patches of these around the uk instead? Why does this mega monstrosity have to be installed in just one place? Please please reconsider.
