My concern is that over 2000 acres of fertile farmlnad is being taken out of production for this solar farm. The UK is presently importing 45% of the food it needs , the East of England, including Lincolnshire and Rutland, is the 'breadbasket ' of the UK and food production here should be given priority over low density solar renewable energy . Renewable energy can be generated using offshore wind, rooftop solar and, more locally , the many hectares of disused, unrestored, quarries and other brownfield sites.
