Agree with renewable energy 100% However I do not agree with sacrificing arable land. I would be deeply saddened to see the Lincolnshire and Rutland countryside disappear under a ‘desert’ of solar panels. Why not locate such projects along the country’s motorway’s where it doesn’t impact on anyone’s countryside views as inherently our major routes have embankments to reduce noise and where sadly the wildlife has already been uprooted. I strongly believe that the majority of home owners, and councils would welcome roofing solar panels including businesses (where structurally suitable). To finalise, the installation of the biggest solar farm in the UK to date in this area, the impact of which would be is nothing short of an annihilation of a beautiful, wildlife diverse and productive prosperous countryside.
