This was my childhood home. I loved living with open countryside. Lovely fields country path to walk and a cleaner environment. This proposal if allowed to go through massively impact the local area forever. We will not be able to walk the path be surrounded by huge amounts of reflecting glass and metal panels, fencing cameras and lighting. We will not see the lovely wildlife that we’ve enjoyed from our homes and on our walks. Food production will be reduced as this is a highly productive agricultural area for cereal, crops, particularly and because of the war in the Ukraine and grain shortages. It has never been more important grow crops and make sure we are self-sufficient and not dependent on other countries for all supplies . The Chinese, who will make these solar panels have a poor record on the workers they use, the carbon footprint to get these panels from China will be huge and will negate any games that they have said the panels will make to our energy supplies Wind power is much more efficient cleaner and less environmentally destructive this is the way the government should be going. We also need to build a small nuclear reactors and we should be stepping up the production of these.
