Mitigation is the act of reducing the severity, seriousness and painfulness of an action. MPSF development plans contain massive mitigation actions which I believe from my experience of large infrastructure projects are insufficient and will never be able to reduce the impact on me as a resident of Ryhall, Rutland. My major issues are: -Major long term loss of productive farmland. -Consequential need to rely on food importation with its consequent risk of shortage as demonstrated by recent unavailability of fruit and vegetables -Consequential serious long term loss of self sufficient regenerative farmers / farming to become more self sufficient to combat global warming -Consequential visual change of beautiful countryside to an industrial landscape. -Consequential serious noise, light, air pollution and severe transport disruption during construction and use -Consequential painful impact on my mental and physical wellbeing with the loss of my family environment, chosen as providing unpolluted, green spaces with all the benefits it can provide for health and wellbeing -Consequential seriousness of the loss of the natural biodiversity already established over hundreds of years. No mitigation can replace the destruction and death of the habitats, precious wild animals and plants during and after this development. Manmade alternatives and or replacements negate the meaning of biodiversity -The consequential use of 530,000 solar panels creating an enormous carbon footprint as it is the least efficient (11%) out of all the various renewable energy options. The serious long term and broader impact that this is one of so many solar farms are being considered. The UK is an Island and as such has enormous potential for more efficient and long term advantageous home creation of renewable development -The real concern of allowing a developer to dictate the location and size of a national renewable programme which is not in the best welfare and consideration of the people or the country. -The great concern that a developer involved with this application is to use solar panels manufactured by Uyghur people who are acknowledged as being victims of human rights abuses. -There are many more appropriate sites for such a development , disused airfields, domestic and industrial roofs and brownfield locations for example -
