The scheme is too large and will dominate the area. The land it will be built on is undulating making it impossible to screen the solar panels. Any screening planted will take fifteen years to become effective. As someone who walks daily in the area the presence of 1000acres of solar panels will destroy the enjoyment of those walks It is irresponsible to build a development of this type on arable land. Leaving aside any technical evaluations I know that the area produces good yields of cereals. I am very concerned about the impact of traffic. Especially the effect on school routes and the chaos that will be caused in Essendine. The two companies involved have been very reluctant to give any meaningful information on their corporate organisation and Canadian Solar have avoided all questions on what is generally believed their connections with China. They should therefore not be allowed to develop part of the UK's electrical infrastructure.
