Mallard Pass solar farm is NOT a farm! a farm is where food is produced, crops are grown and livestock is raised! 2,175 acres of prime agricultural land should not be taken out of food production to facilitate the installation of solar panels which could easily be located elsewhere in the country where the land is not so valuable and versatile and not used in the same way. Alternatively panels could be installed on the roofs of warehouses in local industrial sites, etc. The whole site, once developed, will have a devastating affect on the local area, views will be lost, countryside walks will be taken away, and this in turn will have a negative affect on residents sense of well being, and mental health. This is in addition to the disturbance endured during the construction of the site. The natural habitat of wildlife will be disturbed, flora and fauna will be lost, and the only ones to gain will be the developers. Mallard Pass should NOT be granted permission.
