We are vehemently opposed to any solar farm which uses valuable, productive, agricultural land. After water, food production is the most fundamental human requirement. 2 Unacceptable industrial scale. 3 Greenfield development not brownfield. 4 Massive increased risk of flooding 5 Major health and safety risks associated with battery storage, including fire and contamination risks. 6 Huge visual blight on the countryside and loss of habitat on local flora and fauna. 7 Massive impact over at least 2 and a half years due to construction and the associated works and services in the building of this project. Due to the rapid technological development of alternative methods of electrical energy production and the inefficiency of solar panels this and similar projects will be rendered redundant within a very short period of time, bringing the viability of this solar farm into serious doubt.
