Examining Authority The proposed Mallard Pass Solar Farm is going to have a major, irreversible impact on the local land, environment and residents. This proposal swallows up large swathes of prime farmland. Farmland that provides acres of crops that are grown to provide our countries produce. Farmland that provides wildlife sanctuary, and allows them to roam across the land with freedom. This Solar Farm will take years to build and currently doesn't have the necessary road infrastructure. This will lead to residents blighted by roadworks, closures and diversions, potentially for months. We could add miles onto our journeys to access local supermarkets, schools, doctor appointments, work, as well as, adding a financial burden to residents both elderly and young who can't afford heating and petrol currently. I'm deeply concerned of possible impacts on emergency services reaching out to local villages if they have to navigate disruption caused by this huge development. I am not a NIMBY. I care greatly about climate change, the environment, wildlife and the future of our children. I am not against solar, wind or any other type of clean power. But, this project is far too large for the proposed area. Please, consider this proposal in its current form carefully. Regards Sarah Colledge
