Solar panels are not very efficient generators (compared to say wind), and take up a lot of space. There is no apparent benefit to the local community, nor expected electricity price reduction, despite lower generating costs. The proposed site will occupy a significant area of productive farm land, including material proportion designated as BMV. I understand from the current media coverage this country would benefit from greater food production. There are too many solar farm applications in Lincolnshire, there is a risk the county will be saturated by them. Concerned about the disruption caused to the area during years of construction. Concerned about the flood risk caused by covering such a large area with panels. As a keen walker, I am concerned about the adverse impact to the visual amenity of the area, and the network of public footpaths. Doubt any planned screening will be effective for many years, if ever.
