Good evening, We moved to Essendine in 2006, we have raised a family, a dog and are quite settled in the village. The news that one of the largest solar farms in Europe will now surround our village is quite shocking. The natural sites, sounds and smells will be changed forever, country walks ruined and for what ?. Your house is supposed to be an investment of a lifetime, something you buy once and payoff gradually as an asset or a inheritance for your children. But………. The solar farm may well knock down a % off our house as people will not want to live near or bring up their families near surrounded by this. I reject the proposals on grounds that this will affect my family life and everything we have built up, Essendine may well become a forgotten village or a notorious laughing stock as to who’d want to live there.
