I wish to object to the proposed Mallard Pass Solar Project on the basis of the following: Loss of valuable Farm land at a time when we need to produce more not less. Increased flooding in the surrounding area due to soil compaction and run off. Already accepted by the developer as a possibility. Loss of local amenities, wildlife, scenic walks etc. Heavy duty use of roads in the area, traffic congestion and mud and contamination on the roads making them unsafe. Safety of pedestrians and school children. Previously undisclosed Compulsory Purchase Orders on residential homes and gardens, roads and social amenities. Integrity and openness of Developers and Solar Panel manufacturers. Windell Energy - expertise and liquidity. Canadian Solar -Chinese company manufacturing process and resources. Overall control during construction and operation, maintenance and eventual removal at the end of life/contract. Based on the above and other factors, I believe the planning application must be denied
