.Cleve Hill Solar Park has been approved for construction and expects to produce 350MW on 890 acres of reclaimed marshland. Mallard Pass Solar Farm expects to produce 350MW on a variety of sites totalling around 2100 acres of arable farmland, woods and footpath rights of way. Initial consultations offered reassurance about effects on the people, countryside and transport access but have since had to revise their offerings and have lost face with the communities which occupy the area affected. Doubts about the quality of panels arising from the developer's use of Chinese and other Asian suppliers. Extended and straggling location of the proposed sites raises concern about extended access for local traffic on small country roads by construction vehicles. Nothing has been mentioned about probable adverse effects on house values due to loss of visual and other local amenities.
