There has been much talk about the Solar Panels such as ‘Size of the Development’, ‘Poor Consultation’, ‘Local Opposition’… The list goes on. I would like to add another thought. Our village of Essendine is on the edge of Rutland. It is a village that has an industrial site which harbours hazardous waste fluids from one of the factories. In addition there has also been two large factory fires concerning aromatherapy, with 70 firefighters at the scene. The people in Essendine were told to stay indoors, keeping all doors and windows shut! In other words, Essendine tends to be one of the villages that has had its fair share of ‘controversial developments’ thrown their way. Please can you tell the Essendine residents the ‘candid version’ of why you decided on our village for your solar panels?
