Size of development is too much for the smallest county in UK. Human Rights abuses in the supply chains are well documented. Loss of agricultural land at a time when we need to be self sufficient in food. Local infrastructure roads etc. not suitable for development of this size. Loss of natural environment. Damage to biodiversity. I’m all for renewable energy, but this is at the detriment of our community to meet government targets on net zero. There are other ways of doing this but this is probably a relatively cheap method. Why aren’t developers tasked with doing more to include renewable energy generation in their developments? Why does one area have to suffer when this can be accommodated on a more wider scale, e.g. factory roofing, brownfield sites, residential developments.
