The loss of agricultural land for a project of this scale is verging on obscene and I am unconvinced that the developer will ever realistically be capable of returning this land to its full capacity in terms of food production. We have a variety of deer and wildlife that roam freely around the area and the high fences will restrict their movement and ultimately force them away from the area. Seeing wildlife on walks is what attracted us the area. I do not believe that our rural road network will be able to accommodate the level of traffic this development would require, noting we have a lot of children in the surrounding areas that will not be used to seeing the unprecedented volume of large vehicles this development will bring. Combine these factors with the fact I remain unconvinced that the batteries being used to store this energy are a viable idea, it can only be a recipe for disaster. As a H&S professional with a vested interest in fire safety I would urge the inspectorate to look at these in detail before considering approval. I believe in the requirement for solar to help reduce our reliance on fossil fuels and would not object the them being on our roof, but for the love of god, do not dig up food producing land to build a solar panel farm to support the train network. This will impact a lot of villagers mental health including my own. We rely on these open fields to get close to nature and walk the dog along the fields looking at deers, local birds and other wildlife.
