Mallard Pass will have a extremely detrimental impact on this area environmentally and socially in ways which far out way the positive impact of solar energy. Biodiversity of this rural area will be highly impacted. The whole nature of the local area would change from a natural landscape to an industrial landscape. This all for a suboptimal energy solution. Siting onshore wind turbines in this area would be a far better solution, as farming could continue around these and wildlife would be free to roam around them.
