Significant increase in traffic in the area from both HGV vehicles and workers servicing the site during construction. Deterioration to already poor road surfaces during construction. Disruption to road users caused by traffic measures which will be in place during construction phase. Damage to habitat and environment. Loss of valuable BMV land which appears to have been overlooked. Impact on recreational amenity for walkers. Public rights of Way to be closed and/or diverted as deemed necessary by the construction company No direct benefit to the local community. The energy produced will be available for the whole of the UK. Risk of flooding from the angled solar panels. There is no certainty around funding for decommissioning.
