This development would have a massive negative impact in the environment and the lives of thousands of people in this area. 1. The proposed site is too big and obstrusive compare to any other development allowed in this area. 2. The construction will disrupt the life of villages not only temporarily while it happens but permanently once is done. Increase heavy traffic, air, noise and light pollution, 3. It will take away a big area from food production. By using the argument of reducing our energy dependance on fossil fuels and foreign supplies, it will contribute towards making us food dependant. 4. The technology is not reliable enough to accept the square miles used will produce the same energy as other forms of energy production. 5. This is a rural area, the development would change its character to an industrial area. 6. A project of this scale can not happen without great disruption to the natural environment, flora and fauna. Nor will it help with the risk of flooding the area is prone to.
