Very simply this is an action that, in future years, will be looked back upon as one of those decisions where the reaction to those responsible will be 'what on earth were they thinking'. The proposal is more than completely contradictory. The damage and long term adverse impact to the environment very clearly outweighs the benefits to be gained. This isn't even in question. Yes there is a need for greater levels of solar produced energy but this has to be from within an appropriate setting, where the impact is kept to a minimum and is measured. This proposal makes absolutely no sense whatsoever and is beyond illogical. Very simply, the long term adverse impact to the local environment and communities so completely outweigh the benefits to be gained, purely due to an extremely poorly thought through proposition. This is so clear, the fact that such opposition simply shouldn't even be necessary.
