I strongly believe that an infrastructure project of this magnitude is completely inappropriate for our small rural community, the impact on wild life, detriment to the quality of life for both residents and visitors, both in the construction and operation of the proposed site is not acceptable for the potential gains. None of which will benefit the local area, even considering the contribution to the overall energy problem that we face, it has been shown that the actual output is considerably less than the headline numbers that the developers have been quoting. This loss of productive agricultural land makes no sense at all, we should be producing more locally, reducing the carbon footprint of our food supply chain. Solar may have its part to play, despite it being pretty much the poorest performing renewable for our climate, we are not short of warehouse roof space or disused military facilities which could be put to that use. I understand the appeal of this site to the developers, the least amount of investment to create the cheapest production, this has no bearing or benefit to the end user, purely increased profits for the operator. [Redacted] and others have highlighted the dubious practices of the companys making and backing this application, this makes it even more difficult to have any faith in this project. I have tried to condense the points i think are valid, To see this happen would be very disappointing.....
