If the proposed scheme goes ahead unchecked acres of idyllic English countryside will be festooned with glass and metal. Beautiful scenery will be defaced, charm and character destroyed. Come north from Ryhall towards Careby. Pause as you reach the hill crest of Aunby. Take in the view of green fields stretching before you. It is one of the best outlooks in the region. Drink in the scene! Now imagine those fields before you and to the right turned into a gaudy sea of sheet-glass: the most picturesque landscape, Lincolnshire s finest ruined and buried in one day. The humble beauty of this corner of Lincolnshire rivals any heritage site (the Dales, the moors, the fells). It should be recognized as epitomizing the delightful charm and character of the county. Please save it for many to enjoy, appreciate and benefit from.
