As someone who has spent almost my entire life growing up and living in the West Lindsey area I feel it is my duty to protect the natural environment here. During my life I have spent lots of time exploring the countryside, learning about nature and simply experiencing the local environment. It truly is beautiful and brings me peace. I oppose the plans to industrialise this area with an environmentally devastating solar farm. How can we justify saving the environment with measures that do the exact opposite? Not only will the construction and operation of this site destroy huge areas of vital ecosystem, solar panels are also an expensive and inefficient technology that produces hazardous waste when disposed of in the future. I am not against moving forward technologically, this however seems like a step backwards.
