1.This application is one of four NSIPS within a few miles of each other. Together they would create a great swathe of solar panels inn the countryside. They are being considered separately but the impact of them together would be vast. Creating the l;largest solar@farm@ in Europe. 2.The total area of farmland under solar panels would be approximately 10,000 acres at a time when we are realising that food security is important to this country. 3. AS someone who has solar panels on my roof I am aware that solar energy although important is not as efficient as other forms of renewables as it is only available during daylight hors when the demand for electricity is not at its highest. Battery storage is still being developed and there are risks to the environment from chemicals within the batteries. Solar panels could be put on roofs or on brownfield sites which cannot be used for food production. 4. The coverage of large areas of land with solar panels & associated connective material will have an adverse effect on wildlife. 5. It is highly unlikely that these panels being the size planned will blend into the environment. 6. It is likely that these panels will be manufactured abroad and in the countries such as China where the human rights of workers are often ignored 7. The whole project is likely to take years in construction and severely interfere with every days lives of people living in the area. 8. Jobs may well be created and local people employed but this will be temporary and may well not make up for employment lost through farming.
